Victims Of Crime
One of my specialties is working with victims of crime. These are people who have witnessed murders, been physically attacked, or been sexually abused. Regardless whether the crime was committed by a family member or stranger, these victims share one important commonality: dealing with the traumatic symptoms following the event. I take extra special care, consideration, and empathy in my approach to helping victims requiring assistance dealing with their symptoms and getting back to their normal everyday lives.
I provide home visits, as it may be difficult at times for those dealing with trauma symptoms to come into the office. Listening objectively to the inner mechanics of what is driving the issues and providing a safe environment are two key components to what drives PTSD therapy. Do not go through this alone. Help is available. Change comes from within.
