How Much Does Counseling Cost?
Counseling may be more affordable than you think. Many insurance companies provide coverage for mental health services. If you have private health insurance coverage, you can check to see if mental health services are covered simply by calling the customer service number on the back of your card. Some suggestions of what to ask include:
-
Do I have a deductible and how much of it is met?
-
Do I have co-pay and if so, how much is it?
-
How many visits are allowed?
-
How much of the session fee will the insurance company cover?
Insurance coverage can be confusing. Don’t be overwhelmed or discouraged. If you are having difficulty understanding what is available to you through your insurance, please do not hesitate to call me.
If you don’t have insurance, you may decide to pay for services out-of-pocket. The fees for counseling will be discussed with me in a private consultation. Payment is due at the time of service. For your convenience, cash, checks and credit cards may be accepted. I will be happy to explain payment options available to you.
